Phantom loaded it just fine.  Great program.

"Aussie Thing" or no...I'm not gonna jump through hoops and mess with iso
burners and daemon tools just for a dang demo.  I'll pass thankyouverymuch.

Dave,

Well, Phantom is very easy to use.  But dang, ran the Demo fine but the
thing whacked out my sound card.  Now I can't get it back working.  I'm
desperately looking of the Live 5.1 drivers (XP), which I think Creative has
discontinued.  I found them on some obscure Italian site (had to polish up
on my Italian) but the link to the file I wanted didn't work.  No other
sound card drivers will work.  This whole thing is starting to unnerve me.

Just some good natured Pommie ribbing. No offence :-)
btw, I burned he ISO fine with Nero, but the game will not install due to a "corrupt"
file. Dunno if I can be bothered again with d'loading it. All the extra's, movie,
wallpaper, etc are working.

dunno about your setup, but something must be wrong.  the first Race
Driver demo has a hell of a lot more realistic handling than toca 2 on
my computer.

Well, the handling in the first demo was bad, but the handling did not
improve at all in the new version.
I tweaked the controlsettings (nullzone) but can not get the handling right.
If you are driving with slow speeds the car handles totally unrealistic.
It is like you are driving in a car which is drunk. It does not react as it
should react. When you brake, the car comes to a stop very rapidly, and then
when you are driving it slowly through the corner it is very unstable.

I do not think it is drivable at all.

But i will try it again

I downloaded the 5.1 drivers from Creative about 5 weeks ago.
I had to, to fix the GPL sound problem.
I then tried to get them again from a friend's house a few weeks later and
couldn't find them anywhere.
Anyway I have the file, it is just over 9 Meg, it is called
SBLiveXPDrvUpdate.exe
If you can't find it, email me and I will send it to you or post it here, if
I can post a 9 Meg file here.

The steering in this demo is whacked.  It wants to go all the way to the left or
to the right with very little wheel movement.  If you have a large dead zone
then it just happens further into your turn.  I tried taking out all of the dead
zone and the game freaked out!  The wheel kept sawing back and forth like it
didn't know what to do :/

Unplayable.

The handling in the first demo was pretty good for me.  It was poor until I
lowered to detail to get respectable fps, then controller input felt direct
and responsive.
