Thrustmaster Wheel (HW) Prob

I have a Thrustmaster Formula 1 (Nascar Pro in the US). In the
in-car view the steering wheel appears to jitter when held on
anything other than straight ahead.

Is this a software/graphics glitch, or is my steering pot on the
way out (i've never used the in-car view until i got the 3D card)?

If the pot is dodgy can i clean it, or is it a replacement job?

TIA
Rich

I have the same wheel, with alot of miles on it. Still on the original pots
but i do have to clean them periodically...actually less and less over
time.

You can spray the insides of the pots with electrical contact cleaner, but
initially this may dissolve the grease inside and make the problem worse,
in which case you'll need to take the pot apart and clean by hand.

Or do you have an awe64 pci , awe128 or Live ( player) soundcard?
I had exact the same problem with an awe128. It had something to do with
the soundsamples, so someone made a patch for it. It should be somewhere
on the net.

Just a thought...

Later,
Arthur.
