GP2 Braking

Hi everyone!
I'm pretty new to GP2, and at the moment I'm having trouble braking
effectively. I keep locking my brakes in the hard braking areas. I am
currently using a Virtual Pilot Pro, with the braking done via button,
in case that helps. Do you need an analogue throttle/brake control for
GP2?
Any help would be appreciated!

The brakes are pretty sensitive. I think the only way is to do alot of
practicing and learn not to pull back as hard.

I noticed that I can brake much later & drive into corners harder with
the ANALOG braking of my T2. I think the T2 helps quite alot.

The button is digital ON or OFF. So if you are aware of this you
can "make do". I did... But the T2 (or any steering wheel/pedal)
would greatly help.

It will be pretty hard to brake effectively with an on/off button.  The
brakes work extremely well with my regular old joystick, especially if you
set-up the sensitivity in the menus.

It's hard to brake  with an on/off button... But it works.
You can break very late.
Try to brake fully(continuously) at the beginning of "the braking area"
Then release the brakes gradualy.
You can do that with an on/off control by doing very short ON/OFF at the
end

Good luck.

1. Brake a little earlier than you normally do

I was going to say that you should reduce braking pressure as you
slow, but considering you're using a digital control for braking . . .
I would very much recommend that you use analog throttle/brake if you
plan on spending any time with the best racing sim.

second:

try setting brake balance to the rear until the car starts to oversteer when
braking.

If you use a button to brake, it's obvious that the tires lock up. After
all, you either do not break or you brake a 100%.  In GP2, you must
balance the braking to avoid lock ups. Adjusting the brake bias will
make it easier.
