Has ICR2 Fixed Corner Time-Warp of ICR1???

by Steve Smi » Thu, 30 Nov 1995 04:00:00

Was I the only one to experience the 'time-warp' bug at
some of the tracks (the airport, for example), in ICR,
where AI cars would SUDDENLY slow way down at a corner
and then just as suddenly rocket away once around, like
slot cars hitting a bad section of track?

I kept rear-ending AI cars 'til I realised something
'special' was going on, and kept to the outside on turns.

        Has this been fixed/improved in ICR2 ????

It kind of spoiled ICR 1 for me.

They still tend to do that in ICR2, particularly on the starts/restarts
when a whole line of cars tries to pile into the hairpin at the end of a
straight, though not as bad in ICR. However, one problem that really bugged
me in ICR seems to be fixed: When you overtake an AI car, it won't jam on
its brakes, but instead it moves over to let you pass. I used to get done
in quite often in ICR when I drove hard into a corner with the intention of
dropping to the apron to make a pass and the car in front of me would
"panic" and jam on the brakes, causing me to clip the tail end of the car.
