N2 to ICR2 ( CART) Converted Track Racing Problems

by Tim Deatherag » Sat, 18 Jul 1998 04:00:00

I have converted Texas and Dover to the CART version (ICR2) and I have
realized that
the cars had a bad loose condition. Not being a IRL and or CART engineer I
cranked up the rear wing angle with not much improvement !

Any suggestions?

Hi Tim

Before turning up the rear wing, for a loose condition I would either
soften the rear AR bar, or soften the rear shocks.  Failing that,
stiffen the frt AR bar and/or shocks.  These methods can help balance
your car without the performance hit that raising the rear wing will
ultimately bring with it. Lowering wings should be a first priority, but
raising them should be only a last resort!!

Hope this helps ya some.
