ICR2 => N2 converted track fiddling

by Nice Pant » Sat, 02 Aug 1997 04:00:00

I'm trying to organize an off-line race for the league I participate in,
at the Cleveland Airport converted from ICR2 to N2. I used the freebie
converter but copied over the key files from the ICR2 to N1 converter to
make the AI handle a little more realistically. But here's my problem:

The track as I have it right now has darn near zip for tire wear, and the
tires don't accumulate any heat whatsoever. After ten or so laps of
practice last night, the right side tires hadn't broken 130 degrees!

I was testing under relatively cool conditions (66 degrees) but I figure
the tires would pick up some heat running around that track.

What are the files I should be fiddling with, and which numbers in
particular should I play with to try to get a little more grip on this
track? The handling is OK, but as I alluded to above there isn't much grip
on cold cold tires.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Off the top of my head (I'm at work) in the TIRES section the numbers
are

1) Tyre grip left hand side
2) Tyre Heat Generation Left
3) Tyre Wear Left
4) Tyre grip right hand side
5) Tyre Heat Generation Right
6) Tyre Wear Right
7) 0

Try altering the numbers to get the desired effect.
