N2: Changing the Smoke help.....

by KPM » Sun, 10 May 1998 04:00:00

hey there

I got the new sounds file installed, but need help with the Smoke file.  I
can unpack, and change the files, but packing everything back up causes my
computer to crash, hence screwing up N2.  Can somebody write an install .bat
file or is there one already out there?  What about the "sparks" file.  I've
heard about it, but never seen it.  Is there any other cool change that I
don't have yet.....

Thanks Ernie, I will be busy

I did read the readme.txt file, and followed the directions, but the thing
still screws up

When you run pack effect.pck, does it "zip" everything up on its own, or do
you have to pack *.*?

Installing the smoke and spark files are very simple.  After you WinZip the file
read the readme.txt file and follow the instructions.  They're very clear.

Yes, when you execute" pack effect.pck",  it puts everything back together.
