Please, tell us how you reset it ?

Has anybody noticed that:

Randomly during the race the display and the sound have a short gap and
the red arm is reseted.

If you've redlined it once, I use it as reference point on when to shift
(usually a couple hundred rpm earlier so not to wear my engine).

Holding shift and then pressing T on the keyboard will reset the tell
tale.  For me, the telltale is a way to see how close the engine is to my
shift point without having to stare at the tach.

At the beginning of a session i rev the engine all the way to get the tell-tale
to the max rpms and i just shift before it.

I've actually created new tachos for each car in GPL that indicates the
redline.  Well what I think the redline is from the maximum power outputs
from the car stats page.
All I've done is painted a white marker on the dial where the redline
should be. Just as if a driver stuck some masking tape to the dial.
It's nothing very attractive or artistic but it does the job, I don't
blow up engines now.
I've  made a utility to update the car .dat files yet. But if anyone
who owns a GPL web page wants the updated car .dat files they're welcome
to them.
Just so you know I will not email the dat files to anyone who doesn't own
a web page.
