get the nascar pro, it anchors to the desk MUCH better, and the buttons on
the wheel will make for a more realistic f1 driving experience. also the
pedals have a nicer feel than the t2

Hey..thinking of buying a wheel this weekend....the T2 and pro wheels
are both the same price...the pro wheel is a later model and looks
sturdier but I haven't really seen either....can anyone explain the
differences and if one is better then the other? I will be using them
on nascar2 and gp2
thanks

If you are spending the same bucks, definately go for the Pro wheel. It
is a step up from the T2. Besides, it has buttons on the wheel that you
can use for gear shifting in GP2.

For just a tad bit more than the cost of the Nascar Pro you can get a
really great wheel from Thomas Enterprises... check their web site for
the TSW2 at http://soli.inav.net/~thomas The TSW2 is a great economical
wheel!

A Tad bit more??? You could buy 2 Nascar Pro wheels or 2 1/2 T2 wheels for
the price of the TSW2. ;)
Dan.

They are right the Thomas Racing Wheel TSW2 is the wheel, the TM
is a toy that breaks springs all the time and stretches the bunji cord
all the time. The TSW2 is more able to handle the everyday driver for a
life time, you will fall in love with it, the first time you pass someone
in a tight turn.

I wasn't commenting on the quality of said products, only the price and the
reference to them being only a *tad* bit more pricey.
As for the other controllers being toys, that sounds more like a bragging
statement to me than fact. Price & quality do not qualify something as a
toy. Since they are all used to control a *game* all could also fall under
the toy category IMO.
Heck, right now I'm using a $50 MadCatz (don't laugh :), and it still gets
the job done, I do plan to pick up a better wheel soon and Thrustmasters are
at the top of my list so far. TSW's may indeed be the best controller around
but at $220+ for TSW's I'll stick to the "toy" controllers. ;)
cheers,
Dan

HIYA DAN,
You make a good point, I am sorry that I get so carried away talking about
TSW and TSW2 THOMAS SUPER WHEEL. I went through so many TM's before I found
the TSW, in a year I went through a t-1,t-2 and N2 PRO wheels from TM, so I
am sorry to ramble on so much.
Have a great day, I enjoyed hearing from you, and I hope to hear from you
again.
