DIRECTX 8 AND GP3

This has probably been asked before, but anyway...

I just upgraded from DirectX 7 to DirectX 8. Now, GP3 does not want to
start and it says "DirectX not installed". Is there a patch, a solution
or should I just play another game?

Thanx!!

GP3 should work fine with DX8 in fact it actually runs quite a bit quicker
(one on the few games that does). You'll probably have to update your
graphics card drivers for DX8 compatible ones.

In any case F1RC is better than GP3 in every aspect apart from it won't
install on Win2K (it will run on Win2k mind you) and the telemetry is good
but not as good as GP3 and the music is shite.

I use DX v8.0a and GP3 runs fine. Are you sure it is 8.0a and not the
initial release ... v8.0?

GPL?

If you have any Gravis drivers installed, uninstall them.  The latest Gravis
drivers do not work with GP3.

You neglected to mention the woeful AI of F1RC. F1RC has the worst AI
of any sim ever released.
