I personally would find it very strange, if you could use a manual
style gearbox in a modern day f1 sim.
It seems a bit stupid when most wheels have the proper
F1 style paddles on them...

whether you think it is or not, its supposed to be included,
personally i would find it more of a challenge , whether it be
realistic or not, by the sound of it the game could do with more of a
challenge as well from what i've been hearing.
