yeah I had it for a while ... almost made me want to
send it back for a refund.

until i figured out that the problems were to do with
the new drivers that i'd downloaded for the sound
card (Ensonic AudioPCI).  I had to reinstall the old
ones and bingo ... everything works fine.

Try going to the sound menu and do a sound
test eg flip stereo . If you can only hear sound
coming from only one side of the speaker, then
most likely the trouble is with the sound drivers.

hope that helps. have fun.

Greg, thanks for putting the drivers on your webpage.  I have been looking
for these drivers for a little while.  I couldn't find them on Creative
Lab's site.  Maybe they don't want to give them out freely to people who
have an Ensoniq AudioPCI that is not Soundblaster brand.  Anyways, after
installing them I can now enable A3D in Jedi Knight.  Very cool.

Thanks

Jeff

What version are your old drivers? Mine are 4.05.1038 and I am having
the same problems. If your drivers are older could you post them here,
I don't have my old ones? If it's not too much trouble.  TIA bud.
And that's the bottom line.
Why? Cause 'Stone Cold' said so!!!!

Since I have an Ensoniq AudioPCI, I would say *IT* is
not your problem. Game runs great for me, even with 3D
sound.

Edit the snd_cpa.ini file so that the line that had:

default=wavx2

reads

default=wavpw

Try that.

If you're running A3D then you need the sound patch from the Ubisoft
site. I had the same problem and the sound patch fixed it for me.
