IMS conversion to ICR2

by MBetten9 » Sun, 13 Apr 1997 04:00:00

I recently purchased the CD ICRII (Ver. 1.1) for windows 95.  I used
Gerhard's track converter from the Pits site to add the Indy 500 (my old
version of the Indy 500 is from ICR (ver. 1.05) with the expansion pack
adding IMS ( ver. 1.03).

After the conversion, I noticed two problems.  1) the walls have purple
blotches (which is easily fixed by getting rid of wall details) and the 2)
is that while qualifying, the F1 key, to get lap information does not
work.  The screen comes up, but it does not contain any information about
lap times.  Obviously, its difficult to know how well you are doing
without the lap speeds.  Has anyone else had this problem and/or do you
know how to fix it?  I am not the best at downloading, but I think I had
it right and IMS works in all other respects.  ANY help or suggestions
would be greatly appreciated--as would setups for IMS!!!!  Thanks.  Matt

The purple blotches is an effect of the Windows version of ICR2 (things
will look normal when running the DOS version).

IMS conversion to ICR2

FWIW, I'm re-writing the Indy500 converter for ICR2 and Nascar 1.
It'll be a Windows application and will change a few things from
Gerhards original converter.

Can't give a finish date yet (got problems with speed ICK!) but the
ICR2 version should be ready(ish) in a few weeks.

Cheers
