Observation about Nascar 2 Grandstands

When in Practice and Qualifying, the grandstands are empty.  I was
wondering why not have grandstands half full, as there are usually
people watching these sessions.   In the previous Papyrus games ICR,
Nascar and ICR2 grand stands were full for these sessions.

An interesting fact I found out yesterday. I actually loaded up Indy
500: The Simulation (a VERy old game made by EA and Papyrus). In
qualifying, the front half of the race track had filled grandstands,
while the turns had empty grandstands. Kind of begin to wonder why
Papy took this feature out in IndyCar 1 and 2, Nascar 1 and 2, etc. in
the first place, but, ah, never mind.....

I thought about this too, but they could only fill a grandstand or leave
it empty.  Realistically the grandstands should be half full but
sparcely populated all the way around during practice with the greatest
concentration on the front stretch.  On tracks where there is a BGN
race, this will be true.  On other tracks the crowd will be less dense.
During qualifying, there is usually a less dense group of sparcely
populated fans on the front stretch.  There won't be many at all in
other places.  This is because they are all keeping their eyes on the
scoring tower.

The grandstand texture is a solid images probably cut to the size they
need for each grandstand.  They would have to provide extra images that
they could use in place of the full ones for qualifying and practice
sessions.  This is just my guess.  It would be nice, but not really
necessary to the overall pleasure of the sim experience.  Now, if they
wanted to randomize the positioning of certain individual people around
track during the race so that they appear to move from one lap to
another, I'd be impressed.
