Anybody have experience with GPL using Win 2000 Professional OS and
Voodoo 500?  GPL starts to load the first screen comes up then it
reverts right back to the desktop......plez help!

I had no problem to lauch GPL and to start a race (Win2000/Voodoo3)
BUT the frame rate was much too slow.
I had to reinstall WinMe.

I have just installed a Geforce2MX, and using the Direct3D driver it
starts out ok, but I get swapping problems (graphical I mean), slow
framerates at the start and stuttering which gets worse. :(
I use nVidia's officially downloadable drivers, 6.31.

Not that I spent too much time playing GPL anymore, too busy doing my
own sim. :)

You'll need George Smiley's glide wrapper to run GPL in glide under windows
2000. It seems that when GPL tries to change screen resolution, win 2000
see's it as an unauthorised call to hardware and shuts down GPL.

Did your GPL work in software mode just after you installed it?  Mine didn't
and I've tried everything and it still won't work.


1. Win 2000 & GPL
