I try it last nite as well. I can't see much change in the 'feel' of the
game but it certainly increase the speed when entering or exiting menu.
Did not get any improvement in the frame rate.
I think it worth to try just because it speeds up menus.

I have a P-120 and S3 Trio 64 2mb Dram card.If I start GP2 with "gp2 log:on"
to create the gp2log.txt file I get a videospeed of 297 without S3SPDUP and
and a videospeed of 446 with S3SPDUP. If it actually show some difference
in the game itself is hard to say but it is worth a try.

Try using s3spdup with s3spdup vga instead of s3spdup vesa. VESA
doesn't make any difference but VGA does. You can make about 1
frame/second more with it on which is pretty good !

How do you check the video performance index?  Thanks.

Try using the vga tag not vesa...it worked for me in SVGA mode. extra 1.4
fps.

I tried S3SPDUP on my Stealth 64(trio)PCI 2mb EDO video card, and when
I attempt to load GP2, it freezes when it begins to load the screen.

....didn't work for me...

in SVGA you needed to run S3SPDUP in VESA mode.
