Some /.-Story mentioned last night that "Halo 2" for a PC might be a
vista-only release. I don't play many FPS (not top of the line, anyway),
but I hope we're not seeing a trend here (although DX10 supposedly is
vista-only, too).

The whole Vista/HDCP Video thing is really going to***people off when it
hits. That's why I made sure my new LCD had HDCP support on the DVI port.

Most don't, even today, and 99% of the LCD's on desktops right now don't
either.

Ah, but my line had the advantage of being funny (if tasteless); yours was
merely surreal. Now that might have gone down well with the Dali-ist wing
of the newsgroup, but lately they've been a bit preoccupied with their lap
times, on account of the dripping clocks.

So, on balance, I'd say there was less basking and more slingshotting. You
may be the sun, O illuminating one, but I was the perky little
interplanetary probe borrowing a little of your gravitas to boost my
profile. And for that I thank you.
