Not exactly.. p44 of April 23 Pc Mag shows following:

SAG STF 166 (Pentium 166) CPUMark32 - 339
Sys Perf C166+ (Cyrix 166+) CPUMark32 - 305
Average Pentium 166 CPUMark32 - 309

My brother's Pentium 100 Runs the game fine with all the detail and
all the cars on! The 166 should have no problem! running ICR2 & GP2!
Get a good video card with the machine!

I have a P166, 16MB EDO, Matrox Millenium 2MB video card. I run ICR2
full detail-everything- 28 car fields- at 30FPS!!. It flies. NASCAR
everything except grass-35 cars- 30fps. Get a T1/T2 and it can't be
beat.!

I have an intel P166 witha 4mb matrox 3d card and 24 meg of ram, and ICR2
and other games I have have run with full detail on with no problems at
all. Frame rate is at 30.

But what are the settings on the graphics? SVGA? Each graphic item set to ON
or AUTO? Someone posted earlier that at MIS they got only 25-26 frames/second
using a certain methodology. I don't see how a P166 colud beat their system:
a P6-200 w/Matrox MGA.

Personally, I ran the test on my system and found I could get 19-20
frames/second. I have a P-166, Matrox MGA Millenium (4MB), 64MB main memory.
I've benchmarked my system a system benchmark web site and found that my
graphics are extremely fast. I don't see how EDO memory could make an 11
frame/second difference.
