I just Bought Nascar1999 and i have also installed the Nros setup for online
*** but
i seem to be having a problem when i go to start the game in nros
i click the nros3dfx.exe and the screen goes blank and then takes me back to
the win98 desktop
I have a Pure3d II 3dfx card and i had this same problem with nascar2 and
there was a fix in the readme file of nascar2 3dfx patch that told me to
copy the glide2.x.dll file from my pure3d cd
and paste it into the nascar2 directory, this worked just fine for nascar2
but it does not seem
to be working for the Nros3dfx.exe i installed with nascar1999
any suggestions on this problem?

You can' tlaunch ANY of the NROS executables in any way other than thru a
TEN server. You should be getting an error message stating that fact.

Nope there is no messege stating that it just goes blank screen then back to
the desktop

thankyou for that bit of info though, i hope that is the trouble

The nros .exe files are used for online racing only. They are run when you
race online. They can not be used offline.
