Don't know if you guys already know this but i just found something interesting
in GP2.

Did you know that your lap times will be faster if you choose Ace difficulty
than if you choose Rookie? I was racing around Monza, and at the straight
heading towards the last s-curve (can't remember the name) i can reach speeds of
about 320kph in Rookie, but when i switched to Ace, it was around 333kph. So
obviously my time was improved from 1'23"900 to 1'22'2++. All this was in Friday
Qualifying session. Using keyboard.

Weird huh? Wonder if the same bug exist in GP3. :)

Regards,
Shellfer.

I don't think that's a bug. It's just different levels of skill. IMO

different levels of skill should not affect MY car's performance should it? I
always thought that by adjusting the skill level it's the computer's
AI/performance that should change. Just like in other games (eg quake3arena) the
bot ai it just plain dumb or excellent aiming, depending on which skill level
you choose. Funny if that's not a bug (GP2), IMO.

Oh well, just my 2cents. :)

Hmmm... I tried the same test at Monza.  I hit the exact same terminal speed
at the end of the straights no matter what skill level I used.  Something is
strange with the original poster's setup.

Strange huh? I used the exact same setup, just changed the skill level. I don't
know why it's happening too!  I can send you the replay or setup file if you
want. :)

Been a while since I compared that kind of stuff......But.... When you
choose rookie mode are some 'aids' coming on like braking and steering?
That would account for slower times in rookie mode.

Yep, but i turned them off. I'm saying that a higher top speed is attainable in
Ace mode. Dun think it has got to do with the braking and steering aids. Oh, i
use the steering aid for both, cause i use the keyboard. Ya ok because i'm ***
too. :)
