Looking for the CART Racing Strategy Guide (Again)

A few months ago I posted to see if anyone had the CART Racing
strategy guide that Steve wrote in pdf, since the Editor's Choice
edition only came with the normal manual and I lost my original copy
of the guide years ago.

Well, I was just flipping through Alison Hine's site, and noticed that
the "All-American Sports" edition came with it on the CD!!  If anyone
here has it and would be willing to send me the PDF file for the guide
I would be eternally grateful.

Just checked my CART racing version, no pdf files.  One rtf file that
included some Sierra troubleshooting stuff.  I gave my original book
away to somebody in Europe. (I forget who, sorry.)  mailed it to him
3 or 4 years ago.

AFAIK, the pdf files for the manual and strategy guide are only on the
one that's labeled "All-American Sports Series" or something similar.
The version they were selling in a jewel case years after it came out.

It's odd the Editor's Choice collection had the manual bundled but not
the guide.

Good day men. I do have the actual paperback of "Winning-CART Racing
Strategy Guide by Steven Smith". I would be happy to sell it if anyone wants
it. I do sell some stuff on eBay and was going to include it with the CART
racing CD, but I just as soon see a "real" sim racer get it. LOL and it may
be worth more here!

For that matter, *I'd* be interested in a .pdf copy of "Winning" if anybody
can find it.  TIA.

chassis/tires/engines offhand, would ya?  Been so long since I played
this sim seriously I can't remember. =)

You are in luck JM... I checked my CD and it is there!

208 pages of racing setup and strategy bliss - with a sense of humour! My
favourite chapter name is ``I love The Smell of Methanol in the Morning``
;-)

I have posted it to alt.binaries.simulators.autos for all to enjoy.

Cheers,

Spud.

Hehe, thanks.  I found the info over at the Velocity website.

Cosworth - Good Everywhere, Poor Reliability
Mercedes - Good Low End
Honda - Good Top End

Lola - Oversteer
Penske - Balanced
Reynard - Understeer

Firestone - Better Grip, More Wear
Goodyear - Worse Grip, Better Wear

Is there another pdf on the CD?  I grabbed CART.pdf but it's the
manual and not Steve's guide.

Woops, ignore my other post.  I didn't see that you uploaded both
files.

Once I have both pdf's they'll be here:
