It wasn't John - I deleted you and re-added you to the invite list.  I also
re-added someone else, although I can't remember who right now...

Sure, I had.  You were in the invite list, so it should have worked.
<checks invite list again...>

Hmm...brucek is not there any more.  Dunno why.  Maybe something got corrupted
when I added you.  Well, you're in NOW...sorry you missed Michigan.

Feh...  I was getting screen stutters coming out of T2 every lap during
practice.  I had to keep fighting from losing the car because of it.  When I
finally spun out right before the second caution(my spin didn't bring out a
flag), I gave up...
Fortunately the guys right behind me at the time were able to avoid my whirling
tank.  Maybe I *should* stay out of the races.  There's no joy for me there.

Eldred, are you still using DeMONS?  If so, are you aware that
there's a master invite list for the program, and a host-specific
list for each configured host?

I enter names in the master list (since I only have to worry about
RASCAR) and then import the names into the host list.

This sounds like a problem that can be fixed... settings/drivers maybe?

Saved by a caution and you still gave up? -Weird. ;-)

Everyone has these periods where it seems like one can't even buy a break
(look at the start of my season in RASCAR), but the only way to combat that
is to keep plugging away at it. The "straight back into the saddle after the
horse bucks you"-thing.

Yes, I'm still using DeMons.  Since I only run one host, I don't worry about
the master list.  I think what may have happend is that I typed the name in the
add box, but never clicked on 'add'.  I probably just clicked 'okay'.

Dunno - something's probably effed up on my system...

Not weird - it just wasn't worth fighting an ill-handling car(no matter what
the cause) for the rest of the race just to run around as "Tail-end Charlie".
That's the same reason I don't like driving that POS known as the BRM...it just
isn't my idea of 'fun'.

Try using steering assistance set to 100 and see if the car doesn't handle a
lot better. It's got to be your wheel setup that makes the car hard to
drive. Michigan is one of the tracks where the car handles very well.

It doesn't matter what settings you use to get the car to feel right. It's
supposed to feel like a race car (not a piece of junk), and if you have to
use one of those assistance settings with your wheel setup to get it to do
so, then go ahead.

They still are the World 600 and Firecracker 400 to me.  I called the Pepsi
400 the Firecracker 400 in another group and 50% of them thought it was a
new race. lol
