Big Red Racing harware requirements!

I looked at the hardware requirements for Big Red Racing on the back
of the box and noticed that it "requires" 42 megs of hard drive space.
Is this for real? Is there an installation option where I can install
less than 42 megs to play the game? I thought the whole purpose of
having the game on CD was to save space on the HD?

If you know of any other installation options, please post them. I am
seriously considering buying this game but I am short of HD space at
the present.

I didn't see any options for a partial install when I installed it.
