I noticed another cool thing about this game. It is a true 3D
environment. Not only can you go backwards, on the Japan course you
can even leave the road and go cross-country, and explore the island
the track is on. The game is smart enough to give you the correct
traction, sounds and graphics for different surfaces. For example, you
can drive along the beach, spraying sand or splashing water.

I wonder if it supports virtual reality headsets with head-tracking?
It should be able to pretty easily, since the graphics are true 3D.
Imagine a multi-player VR racing game!

To flip back over I think is the 'cntrl' key but you can set the control keys
to whatever you want them to be. As for the menu's, I hope the final version
has an option to have 'wild' menus and 'normal' menus :)

I agree that those cutesy menus get old fast, but you should
re-download the game and maybe read the instructions...

I have played Red Racing for about 6 hours straight. I have played
head-head on internet with two other people. This game ROCKS !!!.
I spend half my time laughing as i knock other players only to
watch them flip out and fly out of the screen. This game is damn
fun and hilarious. I cant wait the registered version with ice
tracks and helicopters. I am definitely buying this bad boy. If
you want to play with other over internet, get Kali. It works
great !!! Worked the first time I tried it with no tricks. Hope
to see you at the Races !!!!!

Cool! How does Kali work? Does it need a central internet site to
administer it or can two people with ordinary PPP internet connections
just connect directly? I'd love to try multi-player boat racing.

Did you know it's possible to get the hovercraft to go over land? Near
the bridges (the ones whose legs you're normally trying not to hit)
ther's even a dirt road you can get onto and drive on.

I too plan to buy this fun game...

Kali can be found at http://www.kali.net, most use one of the Kali servers
(they are kinda like IRC servers but for Kali instead). Kali also lets you
host your own Kali server and have others connect to your IP. This is the
optimal method since you dont have bandwidth being used in other
games being played on the same Kali server.

Thanks, got it. And with a bit of effort managed to get it working.
Pretty neat, but there weren't many players at any of the sites I
could find. Maybe it was a bad time, I'll try a few more times for
sure. Is there a "prime time" for Kali?

Try the Central server, someone is always there. Usually too many.

Plays fine on my office P75 but on my home 486dx2/66...
well you don't see what's up ahead until its too late.
I tried playing with the settings but you then get a update problem,
and a lack of control.

Hopefully, they've still some optimizing to do, else I'll have to get
that p166 i've been dreaming of. Looks like I'll have to for GP2 anyway.

I dont like the menu's either but thats a minor annoyance.
as for flipping yer vehicle, change the control keys and there
should be a 'reset position' or some sorta thing in that area
that lets you define which key flips yer vehicle back over.
Also, read the docs it came with... readme.txt I think it is.

Anyone get this game to run via modem?  Got 2 machines here
both with modems but can't get it to work!  Tried with a
friend as well - we connect fine & can chat no problem...
I got into the game to the point were it says "waiting
for other players" and do exactly that.  He (the other
player) can't get past the 2nd or 3rd menu: his mouse
stops working!      Oddly enough the exact same problem
happens with my 2 machines here.  ANyone else?

We then tried exiting the game back to the modem program
and enter the chat room:  he can see my typing, but I no
longer see his.

The game works great over IPX though....
