DTR - Multiplayer car selection problem

This morning I had a problem with some of my skins folders losing the
skin.str file so I deleted them and went on.

Tonight, I logged on to several races on GameSpy and every race  said I was
driving a "Black Lightning" which I believe is a Pro-stock car. I was
definitely in a late model race !

I kept going back to the off-line game set-up and changing cars and it
didn't change the On line car !!!!!!

What did I do wrong ?????

You need to change the car on line, don't go off line to do it.  Click
PLAYER SETUP (right above where it says READY at the bottom right of the
screen) then change your car before you race.
