Two P2 333's overclocked to 500
TNT2 Ultra Overclocked to 160/200
7.52 Nvidia drivers
GPL beta Open GL driver
327 mb ram

FPS are maxed out at 36 at 1280x1024! Not bad for a PII 500
FPS are approx 32 at 1600x1200  Wow! Remember this is a PII and a TNT2
Ultra. I haven't compared FPS on my AMD 750 overclocked to 1090
Geforce DDR box. Looks like SMP works very well with GPL. Much better
then N4 IMHO. My monitor maxes out at 1600x1200 and a 87 refresh so I
can't try higher. I wish more game makers would thread their products
for SMP. Looks like that will happen once the cheaper dual AMD system
hit the streets this year. So far I'm very impressed with GPL and SMP!

overclocked and set at 150/183 but I re-overclocked it he he

it would be even better if you were using the d3d patch rather than the
outdated opengl beta. :)))

Is there a patch out that now has GPL using SMP ?
What OS is this, Win2000 ?
And I assume you meant 320 megs ?

It always has been SMP ready.  The developers have said the benefit
was probably questionable, though.  His post seems to refute this,
though.  Perhaps the multi-processing model is better in Win2000 or
maybe a pair of CPUs running above 400+mhz makes it irrelevant. <g>

a 256mb stick and one 64. I know it should be 320 but it comes up 327
on the boot screen.

Yes win 2k. and yes I meant 320 but boot screen gives me 327. I was
told GPL and N4 both make use of SMP. If you notice your memory check,
it's always more. I assume it gets coverted to mega bits

I was NEVER able to crank up the res like this when I only had one PII
333 overclocked to 500. Remember we're about about a TNT2 Ultra video
card doing this also. I fail to see how it could be doing this on it's
own..

Actually it's kilobytes - 327680KB = 320MB .

Are you sure you got it set up right?  On my GF2, which is basically similar
technology and uses the same drivers as TNT2, the d3d patch comfortably
out-performs the opengl one.

I'll try it again. I have both the Open GL and d3d patches installed.
I tried the d3d first. But, doesn't GPL max out at 36 fps anyway? It
seemed to me GPL in Open GL was more vibrant in color and sharpness.

Pardon my ignorance, but can someone please explain what SMP is.  Thanks
in advance.
