Why are pit roads still curved in Nascar3?

I recall several months back when papy was showing the first looks at
N# one of the features mentioned was that the curved pit road problem
would be corrected and that they would be straight as in real life. I
can't imagine that the lack of using the GPL physics engine would have
any affect on this. Or would it? Am I missing something?

Actually, the pit road at Pheonix is curved (in real life, I mean).

Nope, nothing to do with a particular physics engine but rather with
the 5th rehash of the good old Indycar/Nascar graphics scenery. ;)

Actually, the engine IS part of it.  It is based on NR1999, and since that
title had curved pit roads, N3 has them too.

Scenery has nothing to do with it.

And that is based on Nascar2 and so on... Actually with graphics
scenery I mean the whole graphics engine which got definately nothing
to do with the physics model used.
