It's a shame I can't race online since two days ago my ADSL modem blew up,
and with a move to another country imminent in two weeks it would be
nonsense to buy a new one here. I just hope these tracks get hosted often on
WON when I come back online.

Did you and I race each other a couple of times on WON in WG fixed setup
races? If so, then indeed I'll try the 56k modem for the time being (it's
what I'm using right now). Your car was really smooth at all times - I'd
never thought that could be done with a 56 modem.

I think I've just been spoiled by several years of ISDN and ADSL :-)

Well I just tried the modem on WON and it didn't go bad at all - lat was
around 300 - 330. Encourageing :-)

300-330 is sick. We use to race on TEN with 150-175 range.

Works quite well in N2002. Cars are sufficiently stable, even those with a
similarly high lat. The whole network code has improved a lot since TEN...

Latency doesn't matter, it's the quality you have.  I raced on TEN/Won with
latencies at 300-400, and I never had any problems.  If your quality is
sketchy, then you will have problems.
