Can you play F1RS on the internet?

by Tom Artus » Sat, 18 Jul 1998 04:00:00

I would like to try and play F1RS on the internet against others and via
tcp/ip one on one against a friend. Is it possible? Does it work good? Are
there any "no charge" game sites that support it? Any info will be greatly
appreciated. Thanks

I'm trying to make a Neon car set to be used with The Pits TCC sim.
Having difficulty finding good photos to work with. If you know of a
page that has the Neon cars, please send me the URL.
If you would like a copy of the car set when its complete let me know
too.

Get Kali , this one really works ! I've tried racing with 3 other guys
with it. Sometimes the car can 'warp' around, but it is still
playable.

Can you use Kali from the UK or is the line speed too slow? What modem do you
need? What sims does Kali support? What is the URL?

Too many questions?

I've used Kali from the UK on a 33.6 connect. It's passable as long as
you get players with pings under 400 to play against, and the cars do
still warp quite a lot, but it's certainly fun. F1RS, Nascar 2, TOCA
(which supports TCP/IP anyway) and Ultimate Race Pro are sims that
definately work with Kali though F1RS is the only one I've played. The
URL for Kali is www.kali.net and it costs $20 for lifetime registration.
There is a newsgroup for Kali users- alt.games.kali
The 'Where To Race' server, channel #f1rs is where you'll find the F1RS
hotshoes.

Too many answers? :)
