I believe you need the 2.53 version of Glide instead of 2.54.

That fixed it for me.

Get the Glidewrapper patch which was written specifically for the
Banshee card at

Do you have 'force triple color buffering for glide apps' enabled in
your 3dfx display properties?  If so, don't do that.

Hmm, I tried installing the Glidewrapper last night (I have a Voodoo I
and suffer the same problems mentioned above), but it did not help,
still stray textures all over the place (this is worse in races than
in practise). Installing the Glide2x.dll v 2.53 is not an option
because gpl then fails to initialize the 3dfx card and throws me into
software mode.

Cheers,

uwe

None of these are an option for the Voodoo1 card which uses a completely
different driver collection than the Voodoo2 card.  Try turning off all
of the advanced options for your Voodoo1 card (especially triple color
buffering).

Hi Michael,

Thanks for your suggestion. Where do I find that triple buffering
option?  I checked last night by looking the display properties setup,
but the only stuff available under Voodoo setup is "lock gamma" or
something, nothing about triple buffering.

i would be very happy if someone could point this out.

Thanks,

hoover (who prefers text-based config files as found in Linux ;-)

Hmm, I have V1 too, and no triple buffering button either. However,
setting the 'Less performance/more compatibility' slider to the left
worked quite a bit (although not 100%). But while racing I have almost
no problems, so why go for 'less performance'?! ;-)
