hope someone of you could help me......... after starting of the game i
always get a blue screen .  EA says this has to do with the CIH Virus which
i might have on my computer, but this is impossible. ALL the others programs
run without any error and a scan with a Antivirus-Tool was negativ.

So what else can I do ?????? Anyone who knows how to get this game
running???????

Peter; You need to post more info, 'e.g. computer, graphics etc. &
is this the blue error screen? What does it say? etc..

The CIH Virus is bad news Peter. If that is what is causing the problem ( highly likely) you need to remove it with a specialist CIH cleaner. I only noticed the virus when a game stoped working. About a week later the virus activated and wiped my hard disk and distroyed my Bios forcing me to buy a new mainboard.

Just out of curiousity..why didn't you just get a new BIOS chip?

What's this? I have  Ea Sports' SBK World Championship game and have
found no evidence of such virus. I can my hard disk regularly with the
most updated virus definition, with Norton Anti-virus 5.0 and nothing
was ever found. Moreover, I use the little application called "kill_CIH"
before scanning my hard disk. Are you sure the virus comes from this
particular game?

Read the post.  He never said it did, only that he noticed it when *a game*
stopped working.

you can check for the CIH virus without a virus checker..

go into DOS
cd\windows
edit explorer.exe

search for CIH - if it finds it then you've got it!

dr solomons from july last year will clean these files but some virus
checkers like PC-Cillin (even updated to March drivers) didn't recognise
it :(
clean it before the 26th cos thats when it strikes... (not just the
anniversary of Chernobyl - it tries it on the 26th of every month)
