Just picked up a Creative Labs TNT AGP today, installed it (bios
2.04.5G), and installed the latest CL drivers.

When I try to run GPL, I get a GPF and it leaves me in 640x480 resolution
when I press OK in the error dialog.

Anyone have any hints?

I've got a CL TNT with the latest bios and drivers and the GL patch
works fine.  The framerate is brutal though.  My Voodoo1 gives me more
fps (constant 30+) on my PII300 than the TNT!

When you boot your machine, exactly what bios revision does your TNT
report?

I downloaded a bios update, but don't know if I need to apply it.

My bios reports itself as being version "2.04.5G"

2.04.5G is the lastest bios update.
