Grand Prix - playability

A friend of mine has just started to learn to play GP1 - and I've
noticed him doing something on it that clearly makes it easier to learn.

With all driving aids on, he's got to the stage where he learns his
braking points for the corners.

What he does is turn the brakes off (F1 to do this is *very* helpfully
positioned above the accelerate/brake keys) until he wants to brake.

Then his hits the F1 auto-braking key which rapidy slows him, as if he
were doing it himself.

This is a very very useful aid to learning the game - I remember now
when I learnt to play GP (about 4 years ago!) I did the same. Did you?

I can't find any similar method though in ICR1 or 2. So let's hope Geoff
includes it in GP2 - with the key to turn the feature on and off
helpfully positioned.

Thinking about it, all of GP1's driver aids and their accessibility
really help make it such a great game. Well done GC!

That's what I did when I started with F1GP. It is very useful as it helps you
judge exactly when to brake, and then you can start braking yourself. Worked
with me :-)

Autobraking is toggled on or off in ICR2 by pressing ALT-B
