Is that correct?seems quite different from gp2 topography.Who is right?
It seems that for the farther tracks, Ubi didn't want to spend money for a
more detailed research.I'm brazilian and interlagos seems also quite
different, mainly on the fast section conecting to the start line .That's
full throttle (even with no wing angles) till senna's S and in f1rs that's
impossible to do

Gameplay aside, I believe the two mentioned tracks in Psygnosis'
Formula 1 are dead-ringers...Too bad they don't have a sim to
match the graphics!  =P

Cheers!

Hi,
Suzuka is definately NOT flat. There is quite a elevation change from
turns 3-7 and a reasonable "dip" in the section af track leading into
the 130R (turn 14-15??). As for Melbourne, it is 100% flat.

I've walked around Melbourne and it certainly is a flat circuit, and the
configuration seems approximately right in F1RS (although some corners are
slightly cambered). Pity about the ugly city skyline for Melbourne though. I
actually really wish they would fix it. It really seems to detract from the
graphics for that circuit.

Does it really matter?
Oris your real name Alexander Wurz and are you using F1RS as a practice
medium before the start of the 1998 season?

If not, then the chances of you ever driving on these circuits is
minimal and therefore any differences between what is real and what is
not means ***-all!

If he ever goes to Melbourne when the GP is not on he can drive around
the track.  And for the record, the track is in fact flat

Hi Bruce,
You're the kind of person who may love formula 1 psygnosis, and power F1
or buy a 21in monitor ,receives a 14in and it's ok because things will be
displayed just a little smaller.
You should give your arrogant anwsers to another newsgroup, not here where
everyone is trying to discuss and improve the simulators.
these games are supposed to simulate right the whole thing including the
tracks,right?

Riiiiight. In that case why don't we use a VW Beetle bodyshell on the
cars and have the performance of a Monster Truck. We could even make
them go on dirt tracks. After all, you're never going to drive the
real thing so what does it matter....right?

If you're going to do it at all then you might as well do it right.

Cheers!

says...

Suzuka definitely seems flat.  But I remember Martin Brundle standing at the
end of the Snake saying, 'I never realised how steep this was when I was
driving it' so maybe the effect is lessened in car.  Still i think this is one
area where GP2 still scores big points.

I think GP2 is right. Suzuka is too flat in Ubi. Other tracks that
have topography problems in Ubi F1 are Hungaroring and Imola.

Suzuka has a cross-over section of the track.  If it were flat, the track
would in fact intersect at this point.  Do you see any traffic lights on
the Suzuka raceway?
Duh!

Wow, really quite stupefying! Considering that usenet is not generally
reknowned for the intellectual content, every single person except
yourself managed to read between the lines rather than grasping at the
purely literal.

Isn't that a little embarrasing for you?

Cheers!

Lets not forget the French passion for nuclear testing. Maybe they
thought it a good idea to level a few circuits to make the design of
THIER NEW TRACKS a little easier. Poor old Japan, they never get a break
do they, hehehehehehehe.
