ALOT of reports on alt.comp.periph.videocards.nvidia of BIG issues with
these drivers, like NO property tabs after rightclick/Display property's
etc.

Be warned.

Haven't fully tested with games yet, but installed and appears to be fine here.  All tabs are there.  Perhaps people aren't paying attention to the warning to shut down any running programs, including AV first?

Really, you ought to let nvidia know then, as those drivers were not meant
to be released, The following is from www.3dgpu.com:

--------------
OK folks, I just got off the phone with NVIDIA. It seems as if someone
uploaded the wrong driver set to their site, hence the missing NVIDIA
Control Panel applets. The correct ones should be available in the next hour
or so, I'll let you know...
Matt: From what I understand when I talked to NVIDIA, we should be getting
the 28.80 drivers today. I asked NVIDIA about the Digital Vibrance issue,
where it shuts off when you start a game, and they said that it has been
fixed. That's surely good news.

--------------

Best of luck ;)

Alan

I lost about 125 points on 3DMark2001 SE with these drivers.  I went back to
my old trusted 23.11s  <G>

Yep.  I have all my settings on a large index card and I go through and
reset them after I completely remove then reinstall new drivers.  I use the
Gainward tool to reset my clock and memory settings.

I know a few others who have seen a decrease in performance as well.

The 23.11 drivers gave me NMI/Parity errors on my Gainward Ti450. I
actually returned the first card and when I got the same errors on the
second I searched the web and found others with Gainward Golden sample
cards (Ti 550 also) having trouble with the 23.11 drivers.

I use the 21.83 drivers.

I wondered if the 23.11 drivers might have had a problem with the Golden
sample cards being overclocked in the bios settings. I use no
overclocking utility and the Nvidia driver thinks the card has 200/450
clock settings.
