Brake Failure in Nascar!!!

Well ok, it wasn't really a computer brake failure.  But
anyway, here I am doing 175 on the front stretch of The Rock
and I hit the brakes entering turn 1, nothing happens.  To my
supprise, The harder I press the faster I start going.
Needless to say I ended up in the wall.  While trying to limp
back into the pits I notice the problem.  Somehow the joystick
got uncalibrated during the race and full brake essentially
wrapped around equaling gas.  I verified this by quiting and
entering the joystick calibration screen, the brake would go
off the end of the scale and end up as full gas.

This ever happen to anyone else?

<snip>

Yes, this has happened to me when using Nascar 1.2 under OS/2 with joystick
driver (gamedd.sys and gamevdd.sys) loaded.  I haven't encountered
similar problems with other games, and Nascar 1.1 worked fine.  I
couldn't find better solution than running Nascar in dos...

Are you running Nascar Racing in non-DOS environment like Win95 or Warp?

Pasi.
