Sports Car GT and Midtown Madness demo - rudder problem

by Bria » Mon, 16 Aug 1999 04:00:00

I can't get my CH Pro Pedals to work in the PSGT demo.   They of
course work fine in everything else.  I am unable to assign the
commands to them because it assigns something else to them before i
get a chance.  This doesnt occur in any other game.  I've tried
putting the nullzone slider all the way to the right and the
sensitivity slider all the way to the left, but it still grabs an axis
before I can assign it.  I've also tried calibrating in Win98 of
course.  And when I calibrate, i've tried pressing each pedal sligtly
before clicking Done so it won't be stuck 'on'.    I'm using DX6.1
Any tricks around this?

Same thing happens in Midtown Madness (I think in FS98 too).

I can however get Need For Speed 3, HS to work though.

I'm using a Diamond MX300.   Will USB pedals solve this?  Course they
won't work w/ my gameport Fighterstick will they?

Thanks,
Brian

Make sure you get the split axis patch.  I too had problems
with my T2 pedals until I used the patch.  sorry I don't have
any url to share, but check the main scgt sites and it should
be available there.

Note:  SCGT STILL does not work, even with the latest patch, on my LWFF.
Seems it doesn't recognize beyond the first two axises connected to a
computer.  Even with the split axis patch for the demo you may have problems
