Cheating online with Dirt Track Racing?????

by hawk » Fri, 24 Mar 2000 04:00:00

I feel i am pretty good at this game but, when online racing i am
turning laps of 19.0 and other cars are turning 2 sec faster. They ride
the wall in the turns and it doesn't even slow them down. They spin and
still recover and pass in a blink of the eye. I'm not slow or reckless
but i always get lapped!!!! Is there a cheat? I've herd in here that
there was some kind of cheat for online racing with this game. I guess
if everyone had the cheat it would be even. Any help with this would be
appreciated.

try lots of practice and fine tuning your car set ups  or download setups
off the net    maybe you dont have your car set to 100%  handling this is a
must if you want to be competitive  and then get back on a kiss some ass
hehehe

I think we need to know what track you had been running. Perhaps you are
really that slow. I know that I am at least a half second behind the top
runners at some tracks, down from almost 2 seconds behind. Practice was the
key to closing that gap.
Cheating does happen, but it's mostly little kids and losers. The spinning
and winning sounds like warp. Remember what you see other cars doing on your
screen may not be what they are really doing. Your computer is trying to
simulate there location and movement. If your on a slow connection there
position and movement could be way off.

I think it was Don Wilshe that posted here that one of DTR's racing
leagues wasn't going to happen because it was so easy to cheat(?)  I can't
remember the details, seems it was so easy that many people were cheating.
Maybe Don, or the original post'er could repost it?

vd3000 runs almost 2 seconds faster than a p3 550, tnt ultra .changed
drivers and the same thing the k7 was faster. same thing in motoracer 1 and
2 the k7 is faster.

Cheating in version 1.00 of DTR was easy..  In version 1.02 its very very
diffciult.
There is alot of league play this season and fun was had by most and all.
