GPL Release date: November?!

I did some digging today at lunch. The call I made to Chips and Bits was a
bit distressing.  They said  their ship date for GPL was scheduled for
Mid-October.  I got a bit worried and called Sierra's order dept.  They
said that all they heard was Mid- to late-November.  Who knows there,
since their GPL "Page" says Coming in Spring 98.  :-\

Of course the UK Sierra site says October 8th for a UK GPL release and
Electronics Boutique still says Sept 30th for a US release date.

I called Electronics Boutique near my house and they don't even have a
listing for it.  

I don't know who to believe anymore...  feh.  And I got all ready to get
my copy next Thursday or Friday...

Here's to hoping we all get to see it sometime before christmas,

Before you distress too much next time, you should browse through all
of the previous posts on this topic.  According to a previous post, EB
will have a listing for Sierra Sports: Grand Prix Legends.

I went by Stop -n- Save Software yesterday.  They indeed have SS: Grand Prix
Legends listed for September 30th release.  They said they would have it on
the Wed(30th) or Thursday.  I should get a call...

Anyone want me to drive by the old shop on some night this week and
count how many lights are on? That should give a reliable indication
of whether it's gone gold or not... ;-)

Jim,
the lights will probably be on anyway because they'll be working on
patches to fix the bugs we'll be finding thursday and friday  :)
