I just got the Thrustmaster GP1 wheel.   It is so cool.  I got it from
Costco Wholesale for $49.99.   What a bargain.  My lap times have
dropped,  I can drive a loose car much better, much smoother.
This wheel design is great, with the throttle and brake levers on the
wheel.  No pedals sliding around on the floor.  No pushing the gas and
brake at the same time cause the pedals are the size of postage stamps
and too close together.
Installation was quick, and it works with all my driving stuff well.
Go get one if you don't have a wheel now.

Where my computer is set up there is no room for pedals, so for me it was
the first wheel attachment.  WOW!!  Went out and bought Rally
Championshiop, Monster Truck Madness, and my current drug of choice, Grand
Prix 2.  The GP1 wheel changed my mix of games from mostly flying to mostly
driving.  Love it.  (Almost paid $90, but found it for $50 at Sam's Club --
would still be a bargain at $90.)

I see Sam's Club also has them for that price.

You can't get some massive hand cramp though after driving 100 or so laps at
Talladega. Still, I like my quite a bit.

I really can recommend the TM GP1 in combination with the CH Pedals.
They
are a lot better than the T2 pedals and can be used for flight sims as
well.
With this combination I can use the pedals on the GP1 for shifting which
is excellent.

Excuse me. What I really meant to say was...

You can get some massive hand cramp after driving 100 or so laps at Talladega.
Still, I like mine quite a bit.

Well, I actually read it the right way... Isn't it funny how the brain
corrects things because it excpects it to that way? That's why there
isn't much use in spelling checking one's writing. You know what you
wanted to write and you will most certainly read that and not what you
actually wrote.

Anyway, I have been using the GP1 for a year and the throttle hand can
get tired I tell you! Haven't succeeded in fastening the wheel though
because my table has like a "frame" underneath it preventing the clamps
on the wheel from working.

I don't understand your question?!?

Steering with the wheel, shifting gears with the wheel pedals (!)
and gas and breaks on the CH Pedals.

The joystick calibration in ICR2 and Nascar2 is the best and most
flexible. There is no other game that allows you to choose a joystick
axis for shifting gears (e.g., this doesn't work in GP2).
