Power F1 VS GP2

Power F1 VS GP2

I was in Electronics Boutique last night and saw a new F1 game, Power F1.
It looked good on the box, but then again don't they all?  It did promise
the ability to set up the car for all kinds of weather conditions.  From
what I saw it was the cars from the 1996 season.  It didn't require much a
P90 DOS/Win95 and a 2x CD-ROM drive.  They wanted $49.99 for it and GP2 was
available for $29.99.  Has anyone else seen this game?  Is it any good?
Give me some feed back please!  Thanks in Advance!

Are you serious or are you just kidding?  GPII is so much better than
Power F1 - particularly if you're using a T2 or reasonable facsimile.
Power F1 has nice graphics and does allow for different weather
conditions.  However, if you're using a T2, then you'll find the
steering response very sloppy. I'm going to try Power F1 again, using a
Flightstick Pro instead of a T2.  Maybe the game will be playable.
However, if you want a real driving experience instead of frustration
from a sloppy steering interface, then by all means get GPII. It's an

costs less that it's a lesser game. Quite the contrary.  Oh yeah, you
need a beefy computer to run GPII under high resolution. If this is a
problem, then I would still opt for GPII over Power F1. I'm angry for
having purchaed Power F1 the first week it was released.  I'm even more
angry for having played a demo (only VGA), hoping that the actual game
would be better.  Oh well, caveat emptor.

Cordially,
Buddha
