Hi folks,

I just returned from the Historic F1 event at the Lausitzring last
weekend. Two series were on display, accessible in the pits and
putting up races: Euroboss F1 and Thoroughbred F1. If there's any
interest, I'll make some of the 1,000+ photos we made available on the
web.

Cheers,

uwe

Just for us uniformed Yanks...whats the differnce between Euroboss
and Thoroughbred F1?   My 'guess' would be pre and post Eccelstone?

the main difference seems to be that the Euroboss series has
"official" FIA world championship status, while the TGP series seems
to be mostly a bunch of enthusiasts racing cars from as early as 1968
(a Surtees was racing there too), subdivided into categories:
pre-1971, post 1971 non ground effect and post 71 ground effect cars.

cheers,
uwe

Great shots Uwe! I especially like the ones of Senna's Lotus. The first F1
race I ever attended was the Detroit G.P. USA 1986. That was the first car I
saw when I was there. That year Senna won the race in an identical car.
Man, it's just incredible to see how small and cramped the leg room was in
that thing!
Thanks for sharing your photos!

Truly wonderful pics, Uwe.  Thank you.

Of course, now that I have a taste for these things, I'll expect the next
1000 pictures soon... :-)
