Breaking 1:30 at Monza

I've done 1:28s in the Lotus, and 1:29s in the Eagle.  But I recently
went back to the Brabham which I find the most fun to drive. The only
problem is that I'm so slow in it compared to the Lotus and Eagle. I just
managed to get down to the low 1:31s and see 1:30s coming. But I can't
imagine breaking 1:30 with the Brabham at Monza.

You'll get there, just keep practicing. I'm down to 1.29.15 with alot of
practice and now i'm looking for the elusive 1.28.

I've done a 1:30.15 with the Brabham, so there's probably a
high 1:29 in it for me somewhere.  Also, given the fact that
every time I feel fast in something I run across somebody else
who is a second faster than me, I'd venture a guess that
someone has done low 1:29's with the Brabham.

Chris,

    So there is hope !!

I ran a few online races last night and one of them was at Monza.  I
ended up on the pole with a 1:31.25.  And managed to stay in the led for 4
laps running consistant low 1:31s. Then a Lotus took me out while trying to
out brake me.

Oops!  I meant to say that I've done 1:29.15 in the Brabham,
and that there's probably a high 1:28 in there.  It usually
takes me four or five laps to get me into the 29's, and during
a race, I usually settle down to a 29.6 to 29.9 time range.
I used to run the whole course with just 3rd, 4th and 5th
gears since I run out of gear in 2nd between the Lesmos, but
I knocked a couple of tenths off by acutally using 2nd in both
Lesmos and the Parabolica.  I guess the extra grunt out of
Lesmo 2 and Parabolica when using 2nd pays off down the straight.
