ANOTHER SIM that will get your attention ........................................................

..................................  after reading some bad things
about Nascar 1999, I decided to wait until Nascar 3 comes out
(hopefully it will work with my computer).

In the meantime, I saw a demo of CASTROL HONDA SUPERBIKE WORLD
CHAMPIONS, and was impressed by the graphics and so I went out and
bought the sim today.

WOW !!!!  Let me tell you this ----- even though I have had it just
a few hours, the graphics (with my Thriller 3D 8 meg card) will
totally knock your eyes out, and the scenery looks photo-realistic as
in GPL.

I haven't really spent much time with it to report on the play
features at the utmost, but of the TEN different tracks they are all
of a different kind of "flavor", and one "North Allerton Village"
reminds you VERY much of the MANX TT on the ISLE of MAN.

Of those of you who may not be familiar with the MANX TT, it is
what you may call the motorcyclists version of the "Ring, except that
the circuit at the Isle of Man is 37 (yes, thirty seven) miles
around!!

John Surtees got his start on "bikes", as did Mike Hailwood, and
the Isle of Man was a regular stop.

Though CHSWC does not HAVE Isle of Man, it certainly has a circuit
that looks like it, and substantially shorter.

It looks as if it is a neat sim and worth checking out.

I CAN tell you this --------------- the GRAPHICS equal GPL in every
way.

How would you compare it with MotoRacer GP ??? This is the only bike sim I
own, and got it for free with my Viper V330 (Riva128 based 4meg PCI card)
I'm more into cars, that motorcycles, but I too have seen the Honda
Superbike game around for a VERY good price/discount and wouldn't mind
picking it up if it's superior (graphically and realistically) to
MotoRacer...

Thanks

Beats the hell out of MotoRacer, which I also got free and thought was
a lot of fun. It's a bit strange to drive with a steering wheel--you
have to turn in real early to get the bike to lean over. Strange to
me, because I'm used to cars, but let's hear from the bike guys about
that, as they could speak more authoratitively to the realism aspect.
