It doesn't matter. You will still be able to pass the output
of your existing SB through the EDGE to your speakers. But
remember, all apps writen for these boards will be in
windows(VFR, NASCAR, etc) so being SB compatiable is
essentially meaningless. For DOS, the chip for MIDI emulates a
MPU-401 (wavetable MIDI same as what AWE is). In other words,
don't worry. Old games will still play fine with your old SB,
and newer games writen for the board don't care that its not Sb
compatiable.
