Please Help with Burnout PCE

When I try to run the game it goes through the video then kicks me back to
desktop.I  have installed the patch,updated video drivers.I'm running
Windows 98,sound blaster 16,STB 2 meg video,Pentium 166,48 meg ram,8x
cdrom.Gateway 2000 computer.If  someone can help I sure would appreciate
it.Thank you.

Rick, Did you install the software or the hardware version of the game.  In order
to run the hardware version, you need a Voodoo card.
