F1RS Artificial Inteligence?

i'm having stupid car crashes on every track i race. Most of the times i'm
ahead of the pack in first place driving om the ideal line, and frequently
some stupid A.I. car crashes on my back putting me out of the track
,sometimes with parts broken.
I was wondering if A.I. could be proportional to the computer processor
power since it seems, maybe due to the number of the calculations
involved, that the others cars just cannot 'see' me at all.
I have a p166 ,32ram ,monster 3d,so i'm on the botton line for F1RS.
The question is ,is anybody with a high-spec machine like P-II 233 or
higher experiencing the same stupid crashes?
ps:I'm racing on Expert mode but it seems that i'm surrounded of Katayamas

I haven't had this problem at all on a PII-300. Maybe it does have to do with
how much CPU is available to the AI cars. Seems feasable... Anyone else have
any ideas?

I'm a bad driver myself, but I've never had a car ram me from behind,
although I've had many bumped wheels coming out of corners, etc due to
my own behaviour*.

However, I've rammed cars up the bum a number of times, because I'm
close behind and I miss the braking point. Perhaps a similar thing is
happening to you: you are braking too early and the CCs can't stop in
time. Watch a replay or just follow a CC and see if you're hitting the
anchors 50 metres too early, or maybe you're braking too hard and
taking a 100kph corner at 50kph due to setup problems? I've got a
similar spec machine too.

Ken

* Actually, I feel the AI is maybe just a bit too soft, yielding
corners too easily, but that's another issue.

I too, have a P166, 32Mb RAM and a 3Dfx card and can only say that the
AI in my version is somewhat more intelligent than what you are
reporting.

That's not the problem. My laptimes are always "new lap record", 2 or 3 secs
better than the best A.I.So i think if i was braking to early or with a
wrong setup i would not be doing this laptimes on expert mode.

Hi.

I have a P150 32edo Diamond Monster 3dfx, I have the exact same problem I
can't race F1rs :-(((((( because of the rotten 1st corner lag they keep
runing up my rear all the time I realy do think It's because of the lag,
I've change the sound but it's still unacceptable it's ok in time attack but
with other cars on 1st lap no way Jose.

Rgds Phil.
