Odd... in my replays, they definitely move left/right though it's hard to
see the smaller movement, since the car's movng so fast.  Or am I missing
something?  I usually watch the "TV" camera, but that's the only view that
shows the wheels if I'm not mistaken.

Can you upload a screenshot of a car with full lock?  I don't want to call
you a liar but you're the first person I've come across that has turning
wheels in replays...

Make that 2 - I have turning wheels in replays.  I'm running Omega 4.6
cats on a 9700Pro, XP, 1024x768x32 4xaa4xaf.  I'm running high
details.  Only annoying problem for me is the visible polygon seams on
the road surface.

I'll do ya four better.  I've put up five screenshots at
members.tripod.com/kung_fu_cowboy/rbr.html.  For anyone on dial-up, the
shots are displayed in the page.  They've been resized to 640x512 JPGs but
are still about ~300kb overall.  You'll get a pop-up or two too courtesy of
Tripod.

To follow in Kendt's footsteps, I'm running a 9800 Pro, CAT 4.9s (no
problems with F1C!), 1280x1024, 2xAA, 4xAF, and DirectX 9.0b.  Also, fwiw, I
rec'd the CD-ROM version from GoGamer.  I can't imagine SCi having different
versions of stuff on DVD and CD, but who knows?

Cheers, Alan.  Now I won't be able to sleep until my front wheels turn
properly!  My replays don't look nearly as nice because of it...  I'm
currently running it with a no-cd patch so I might try it with the original
exe and see if that fixes it...

I have GF4 Ti4200 and cannot see the front wheels turning left/right in
replays, regardless if I have details set to high or low.

Running with a no-cd too, but I observed this even before the no-cd patch
was available on the date of release.

- Hey Alan!  I was just about to ask about the 4.9's on RAS.  I
dropped back to 4.6's because later versions seemed noticably slower
in F1C/mods.  Is this the problem you're refering to above?  I'll have
to see if Omega has released 4.9s.
Do you have the visible track seams issue in RBR?

FYI, black line in track on ATI are due to AA and/or AF being on. Turn
both off to rid of black lines.

Wheels not turning in replay is a game version issue. Some releases have
turning replay wheels.

Both are known bugs and unfixable without a patch.

Try turning off AA and/or AF.   It seems that different people get
different results from those, but turning both of those off fixed the
visible seams on the road surface.   It does lessen the visual quality,
unfortunately, but I prefer some jagged edges here and there (though
they ain't bad at 1024x768 when you're moving nice and fast) to that
awful seamed road effect.

I don't know what could possibly be different other than the CD vs DVD
thing.  I know most seem to have gotten a DVD.  I doubt it's an ATI vs
nVidia thing.  Only other diff that comes to mind is the DirectX version.  I
wish you luck.  It'd bug me too if the wheels never moved.

Yeah, that's what I meant.  I had the problem and stuck with 4.6.  Then, I
tried the 4.9 beta which worked, except I started getting random freezes.
Back to 4.6, and suddenly F1C was choppy all the time.  Tried the release
4.9... no help.  I uninstalled and must've gotten something I missed before,
because on the second try (4.9), my framerates were smoother than ever.
Plus, I've had no problems in F1C.  Seems to be hit or miss though as others
haven't had luck with the 4.9s.

Yeah, but I've seen posts on RSC from nVidia users that have it too.  Seems
to be an RBR thing.

Most people on other forums seem to think it's only a problem in the DVD
version - strange.
