Scratchy sound in Nascar

Scratchy sound in Nascar

I recently purchased a new P133 with an Ensoniq Vivo pnp soundcard.
When I start Nascar in Dos with SVGA and FM sound on, the engine
sounds are so scratchy that any other sounds are drowned out,
including the most imortant sound tire squealing.  I've tried setting
the motor sounds down, but I can't get used to looking at the tach for
shifting while racing on Hawaii, seems too dangerous to take my eyes
off the road. :)  I've also tried using no FM sound, but then I get no
engine or tire sounds, only the sound of my car hitting the wall. :(
At least it's saved me a couple hundred dollars by not signing onto
Hawaii lately, and considering my last phone bill was $175.00 for half
a month, it's sorta a blessing. Any help would be appreciated.

Dave

P.S. I won't even go into the troubles I'm having getting my pnp modem
to work in GP2.. Ah, the lovely benefits of PNP is showing through.
I've spent twice as much time attempting to get these stupid things
working than the old jumper style cards.

FM sound!!!  yuck.   I can't stand that.  It sounds like go-carts are
coming up behind you.
