Tried re-installing the game? or running the setup.exe file in your gp2
directory to setup the sound card?

Does the sound card work ok in other games? or is it just gp2 its not
working with? more info would help, eg:- type of sound card? are you using
the latest drivers? has win95 detected and setup the sound card ok? are
you running gp2 from win95 or dos?

Thanks for your prompt response Peter
Yes

Just did, didn't help
Seems to be just GP2 - Particularly when Text Menus on screen and during
race
It set Menu Delay to longer and the music is fine until menu comes back up!
Vibra16 - And I think so although I'll look for an update

I think the setup is Ok although I have only a little experience with
win95. I am running direct from win95

If this helps give more advice I certainly would appreciate it.

I had a similar problem way back with GP2.  It happened as soon as I
upgraded my MB.  My problem turned out to be a DMA timing problem and
was cured with a Motherboard BIOS upgrade.  I see in a followup post
that you are running directly from Win95.  I highly suggest attempting
to run it from a pure DOS environment.

Did you do a complete harddrive install?  Or are you still accessing
your CD-ROM?  If the latter it may still be a DMA problem with your
Win95 setup.  Do you have any soundcard or CD-ROM drivers installed in
your config.sys and/or autoexec.bat files?  If you are running in Win95,
I suggest removing these in order to get the benefit of Win95's virtual
drivers.
